Lanzatech raises US$55 million

Lanzatech's pilot plant in NZ

NZ biofuel developer Lanzatech has secured US$55 million in funding from a range of investors, some from Malaysia.
Petronas Technology Ventures – the investment arm of oil and gas giant Petronas – and Malaysian technical services company Dialog Group are among the new investors, along with US-based Khosla Ventres, China’s Qiming Ventres and Tindall’s K1W1 fund.
Lanzatech has raised US$85 million since it was founded in 2005.
Lanzatech chief Jennifer Holmgren said the company was still pondering a listing on the NZ stock exchange, which could go ahead in the second half of the year.
