Bluegen clocks up one million hours


Ceramic Fuel Cells says its Bluegen gas to electricity units have now achieved a total of 1 million hours of operation around the world.
CRC began trialling its first field units in 2006 and as of May 1 a total of 189 units have been in operating at CRC facilities in Melbourne and Germany as well as customer sites in nine countries.
The company says it has an order book for 619 unitsĀ  made up of 355 Bluegen units, and another 264 integrated mCHP products.
“We continue to optimise the lifetime and reliability of our products, offering customers a real alternative to energy generation, saving them money and dramatically reducing their carbon emissions,” says Brendon Dow, CRC managing director.
