Westinghouse Solar comes to Oz

ASX-listed CDB Energy will start selling the products of new subsidiary Westinghouse Solar in Australia, following the settlement last week of a US patent dispute.
Shipments of Westinghouse products are set begin in the third quarter of this year, but ultimately CBD intends to assemble the systems at its new solar plant in Australia.
Margaret Randazzo, Westinghouse chief executive, said CBD would also market and install the solar assemblies in other international markets as a setp in the efforts to grow the business.
The agreement had been help up by a US patent dispute between Westinghouse and Zep Solar, settled last week.
CBD paid around A$6 million to take control of Westinghouse Solar in February.
