Solar Delorean to debut in Newcastle
Newcastle solar power company, Solar Power Australia (SPA) has converted a fuel-powered Delorean motor vehicle to an electric vehicle charged from solar power, showcasing the DIY solar technology it hopes to take to the market.
Managing Director of SPA, Brett Sutherland said, “The electric Delorean is charged from solar power so its carbon footprint is zero. Solar Power Australia can provide high quality products to assist customers to convert their favourite car to electric, meaning they are not confined to the mainstream electric cars currently available on the market.”
The innovative Delorean electric vehicle will be released at the Electric Vehicle Show (EV Show) this month in Newcastle.
Mr Sutherland described that owning a Delorean was a “childhood dream”, but creating an electric vehicle is his “business dream”.
