Wind developer Windlab has secured an off-take deal for its 60.5 MW hybrid Kennedy Energy Park in Far-North Queensland.
State owned CS Energy has signed a 10 year purchase agreement for the renewable energy and a portion of the large-scale generation certificates from the scheme.
Kennedy Phase 1 comprises 43.5 MW of wind power, 15 MW of solar and 2 MW of battery storage. The project is a joint venture with Eurus Energy Holdings from Japan.
As part of the deal, CS Energy will also have first rights over energy generated by Kennedy Phase II, which is a wind project with a capacity of more than 1200 MW.
