A new 240MW solar farm near Dalby in Queensland has been given the green light by local government planners.
The Beelbee Solar Farm project, being developed by the APA Group, was approved this week by the Western Downs Regional Council.
Beelbee is set to be the 9th PV farm in the region, and will complement the Darling Downs Solar Farm nearby, and which is currently under construction.
In addition to generating up to 240MW of power for the national grid, the project has the potential for up to 100 MW of battery storage.
Beelbee is also the third large renewable energy installation approved by the council in the last two months.
